Director of Molecular Biology

The primary mission of the Director position is to work closely in an
integrated, multi-disciplinary management team to help build our research
program and develop strategic objectives for growth of the company. As
head of Molecular Biology, the Director will lead R&D efforts in target
selection and mechanism studies for application of our small molecule
technology for treatment of infectious disease. The position encompasses
technical involvement from early-stage discovery to late-stage
development, as well as the assembly and mentorship of the Molecular
Biology team.
Requirements
PhD or related degree in a relevant life science discipline
10+ years direct management experience in an R&D organization
with previous experience in anti-infective drug discovery/development
highly desired.
Proven results, with supporting publications, in the development of
new technologies in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment in the
pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Business management experience at a strategic level resulting in a
well developed ability to combine scientific and business
understanding in decision-making

Requirements
PhD or related degree in a relevant life science discipline
10+ years direct management experience in an R&D organization with
experience in drug discovery/development and animal model design.
Anti-infective experience preferred.
